21st Century Skills Survey

Jaffa Foundation has partnered with Alliance Manchester Business School to discover what skills are most in demand in the 21st century workplace. Top global employers were interviewed including : Accedo, Admiral Insurance, Amazon, ARM, Barclays, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Bunzl Retail, Deloitte, EY, Google, Halfords, Hewden, Hilti, Jaguar Land Rover, Nabarro, Purple Beach, Standard Bank, Toshiba and Virgin Unite.

  • What are the most critical skills needed by first jobbers?
  • What is the business impact and cost to employers of skills-gaps among first jobbers?
  • What solutions are out there?

As well as primary research, by way of a survey, Alliance Manchester Business School also reviewed the existing body of research by companies, government and non-profit organisations.

This will then help shape Jaffa Foundation’s approach to offering thought leadership in the space and encouraging means by which young people's innate talent can be discovered.

As part of the project, we will be inviting employers to thought leadership workshops in London and Manchester in January 2017, for executives from the major global companies who are supported this work.
